Terms :-At Home In The World: Meaning At Home In The World Pty Ltd, Us, We, and its authorised representatives.

Client / Client Family: Those who have engaged with At Home In The World Pty Ltd, either directly or indirectly, in-person, electronically or via any form of telecommunications and have either paid a deposit or made full payment for a service.

Service(s): These are broadly understood to be any consulting services, family retreats, learning experiences / adventures, learning materials, courses, family social media learning hubs such as Museley, and or any ancillary services or products provided in conjunction with any of these services directly by At Home In The World Pty Ltd.

Our Refunds & Exchange policy


If a deposit or full payment has been received by At Home In The World a refund or exchange (considered to be changing the date of your attendance), will be offered to the Client / Client Family, if they have had the opportunity to have at least one live discussion (either electronically, via telecommunications or in-person) with an authorised representative of At Home In The World and either one or more of the following conditions is met:

1. It has been established by At Home In The World that the Client / Client Family’s suitability to attend the retreat would not be beneficial to them, and / or At Home In The World and / or its other attending participants.

2. If the Client / Client Family and At Home In The World mutually agree that the Client / Client Family would not be suitable for said service.

3. The Client / Client Family present a reasonable explanation, satisfactory to At Home In The World as to why or what would prevent them from attending or taking part in the retreat or service at the specified time. Specific acceptable examples would include verifiable illness, family tragedy, personal disaster, or severe financial hardship. In this case, it would be the first preference of At Home In The World that the Client / Client Family, if possible, choose an alternative time frame suitable to them for attending a retreat in place of a refund. If this is not possible, refunds will be provided on the following basis.

Refunds will be provided to a Client / Client Family who have met At Home In The World’s aforementioned criteria in the following percentage:

  • 100% Refund if the Client / Client Family can present a substitute paying Client / Client Family who is willing to take their place on the retreat date they have chosen to attend, subject to that specific substituted Client / Client Family's approval by At Home In The World.
  • 100% Refund if the Client / Client Family cancel more than 180 days before the commencement date of the Retreat.
  • 50% Refund if the Client / Client Family cancel more than 90 days before the commencement date of the Retreat.
  • 10% Refund if the Client / Client Family cancel less than 90 days before the commencement date of the Retreat.
  • NO REFUND if the Client / Client Family cancel less than 90 days before the commencement date of the Retreat.

Please note: The percentage of refund offered, relates directly to the number of days before the retreat we receive a cancellation request . This has been formulated very specifically, because it is very difficult to substitute families to our retreats at short notice. It is also because our retreats are intentionally curated to ensure that every family invited to attend is complimentary to all the other families who are invited. For our retreats to work, we invest a great deal of time, energy and effort in vetting potential families for their suitability and if even one family cancels or cannot attend, it has the potential to greatly affect the entire outcome of the retreat, let alone our financial well-being. This is why we are very specific under which circumstances we will be able to provide a refund. It is advised before you make any payments that you carefully consider these conditions, as once you have made any percentage of payment, you agree to be fully bound by these conditions. Please also note: NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES will be given to the Client / Client Family if they are simply just changing their mind. All refunds will be less any bank processing charge or refund fee charged to At Home In The World by either its and/ or the Client / Client Family bank(s) or financial institution.


Consulting Services are separate to retreats and courses. They relate to when a Client / Client Family engage At Home In The World to deliver a tailored or customised consulting appointment, service or solution for them. Once a Consulting Services has been delivered, whether partially or fully, NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES will be offered or provided, as the services and the contract and obligations between the parties will have been considered fulfilled.

Prior to delivery of any Consulting Services, At Home In The World will make the necessary professional assessments as to the requirements of the services needing to be delivered. In most, but not all instances, a services agreement will be drafted and accepted by the Client / Client Family prior to delivery of services. Services Agreements will document and detail the scope of engagement for which At Home In The World will be engaged, along with all the agreed to deliverables. This document will need to be accepted and agreed to by the Client / Client Family prior to any commencement of works. This document will then supersede any refund policies relating to services provided which are outlined here.

  • Present proof of purchase.
  • Ensure that they have not completed more than the 1st lesson, and / or accessed or downloaded more than 10% of the course / course materials they have purchased.
  • Ensure that they have requested their refund within 30 Days of purchase.
  • They have made contact with At Home In The World, in writing, to explain why they believe that the course is not suited to their needs.

Please note: NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES will be offered for situations outside of these circumstances. It is therefore encouraged that all Client / Client Families make contact with At Home In The World prior to purchasing courses online to ascertain the appropriateness of the course or service to their particular situation.


As course materials are proprietary and the intellectual property of At Home In The World, once a course or its materials have been accessed by a Client / Client Family they are considered to be fully disclosed and wholly delivered. A Client / Client Family will only be entitled to a refund if they can meet all of the following criteria:


If a Client / Client Family hasn't received a refund within 14 Days of the initial agreement to refund, we would ask that you first check your bank account again.Then contact your credit card company, as it may take quite some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank or relevant financial institution. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at assistance(at)athomeintheworld.com.au

The more detailed information you provide to us, the better we are placed to meet your needs to your satisfaction.

Please Note: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping, if required, will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, or shipping it internationally, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
